World health organization claims that cell phones increase risk of carcinoma
Over a year ago, Agency for Research on Cancer, which works under World Health Organization, issued a report about their findings after their ten year research on effects of cellphone radiation on human health.
Initially the gathered data didn't show negative effects of cell phone usage. But a few days ago, a working group of scientist from fourteen countries, after reviewing newest data, reclassified electromagnetic fields emitted by cell phones to potentially cancerogenic. Data shows an increased risk of Glioma, a malignant version of brain tumor. Consequences of these findings will have a significant impact on cell phone manufacturers, and healthcare providers also. They will inspire more research on the subject, and even decelerating cell phones, that is, the radiation they emit. Original news can be found at ieee spectrum web site.
